A huge congratulations to our Global CEO, Mel Edwards, who has been named Business Woman of the Year in the ‘Marketing and Communications Industry’ category at the European CEO Awards 2023!
These awards celebrate leading players across a range of sectors and recognize companies that push the envelope in business, and the executives that make these bold moves possible. Candidates are nominated by readers of European CEO magazine and then chosen by a panel of judges.
As part of the judging process, Mel wrote about the process of becoming a successful leader, her advice to other women in the industry and the people that she looked up to on her trajectory to Global CEO.
Writing about successful leadership, Mel said: “It all starts with a vision. You need a strong, single idea that people will believe in and want to get behind. Then you need the determination to bring that vision to life – and the most successful leaders are masters at inspiring people to get behind this shared vision.”
Anything worth achieving is going to come with challenges so you need a certain amount of grit to ensure you can overcome all the necessary hurdles that will inevitably stand in your way.
