Frenessí Cartagena, one of Latin America’s most innovative gastronomic proposals, combines technology, audiovisual design and haute cuisine to transform a dinner into a multi-sensory experience.

Frenessí started as a Project by Grupo Seratta, which spent around five years researching how gastronomy could evolve and how to break away from traditional restaurant concepts.

The result was a proposal where each moment of the experience is synchronized with virtual reality, 360° projections, surround sound, sensory effects, atmospheric changes and narratives designed to accompany each dish.

At Frenessí, the food is not the only protagonist. Each element has been designed to stimulate different senses. As the dishes arrive, the space is transformed through digital visuals, sounds and immersive scenarios that transport visitors to worlds inspired by science fiction and immersive entertainment.

Inside, Frenessí looks like a mix between a spaceship, an artistic installation and a futuristic laboratory. Cinematic lights, wrap-around screens, metal surfaces and dark interiors help build an atmosphere that makes dinner part of the show.

But beyond technology and design, Frenessí’s success reflects a much broader trend: the growth of the so-called experience economy. In a context where good food is no longer enough to set establishments apart, more and more dining spaces are incorporating entertainment, technology and storytelling into their menus to create moments that people remember, photograph and share.

The management of limited spaces and private experiences has contributed to a sense of exclusivity, a factor increasingly valued by consumers looking for different and memorable proposals.

While the concept began in Bogota, growth and media coverage led to its expansion into other cities, such as Cartagena and Buenos Aires, consolidating itself as one of the most striking experiential proposals in the region.
