The Philippines finally tasted a win at the World Independent Advertising Awards after independent agency Carbon Digital, Inc. was bestowed a Bronze award at the recently concluded WINA Festival 2023 awarding ceremonies held at the Sheraton Grand Dubai on June 9. Carbon Digital was given the prestigious recognition for its video content campaign created for bottled water brand Nature’s Spring.
“A Day in the Life of a Water Vendor” was inspired by the aspirations and daily struggles of many water peddlers and street vendors, many of whom sell Nature’s Spring purified water in main thoroughfares of the cities and in top tourist destinations in the country.
“We wanted to show people that we shouldn’t be quick to judge. All of us have battles we face each and every day. And we want to put the stories and motivations of hardworking water vendors front and center when Nature’s Spring asked us how we can best help bring back the public’s trust in water peddlers and street vendors,” says Jay Anthony Chiu, President and General Manager of Carbon Digital.
Michael Embestro, National Marketing Manager for Nature’s Spring maker Philippine Spring Water Resources, Inc., adds “This is a huge honor for us, especially since water peddlers are close to the heart of Nature’s Spring.
