    INNOCEAN launches carbon reduction ESG campaign ‘Cool Washing for the Planet’

    INNOCEAN, together with the Ministry of Environment and Saengong, successfully completed the carbon reduction ESG campaign “COOL Washing for the Planet” at the Boryeong Mud Festival. The campaign, aimed at reducing carbon and energy use, was designed to let people know that simply lowering the default set temperature for washing machines from 40 degrees to 30 degrees can reduce carbon emissions and electricity use by more than 30% without making much of a difference on washing efficiency.

    The campaign, which ran from July 21 to 26 during the Boryeong Mud Festival, encouraged participants to wash their muddy clothes at 30 degrees and was appreciated by many people for distributing free samples of laundry detergent from Saengong. The campaign was conducted with collaboration with the winning team of the 2022 INNOCEAN S.O.S Competition with the support of the Community Chest of Korea.
