    Cigarette Warnings to Regulate Minors’ Cellphone Use

    The campaign, created with adam&eve\TBWA, uses images featuring shocking advertisements, with bold texts that mimic tobacco warning labels. 

    The messages, seen in outdoor advertising and on social networks, warn that spending three or more hours a day on social media increases the likelihood of teens harming themselves, as mobile phone addiction doubles the risk of anxiety and this addictive use is linked to an increased risk of suicide and eating disorders.

    We are seeing more and more direct advertising. The era of advertisements, which told stories to reach a point, seems to be transitioning to a more blunt way of communicating. This is in line with the new consumer, who pays less and less attention to advertising.
