    • The network took home more than 10 golds
    • WPP agencies VML Madrid, VML New York and Ogilvy PR rank in top three for Agency of the Year category

Following last night’s award ceremony on Wednesday 12 June, WPP’s agencies earned the most awards for this year’s Clio Health competition. With a total of more than 50 awards across Grand, Gold, Silver, and Bronze categories, WPP further solidifies its position as a leader in health marketing and communications.

Among the notable wins for WPP’s agencies were eight prestigious Grand Clio awards, including Network of the Year (VML) and Agency of the Year (VML Madrid). VML secured a total of 34 accolades, including two Grand Clios and nine Golds.

Ogilvy PR won five Grand Clio awards for “Michael CeraVe,” its viral, immersive Super Bowl campaign led by WPP Onefluence that was inspired by online rumours that actor Michael Cera was involved with the CeraVe brand. VML took home two Grand Clios for ”Dogs Without Borders” an innovative project that trains rescue dogs to diagnose breast cancer for the French-Brazilian Society of Oncology (SFBO). VML New York and Ogilvy PR were also among the top three finalists for the Agency of the Year category.

Other notable campaigns included VML Colombia and Grey Colombia’s “Life Extending Stickers,” with Makro Colombia, Ogilvy UK and Ogilvy Toronto’s “Cost of Beauty” for Unilever, Ogilvy Health UK’s “Throwaway Comments: Lifelong Hurt” for NABS, and Grey Argentina and LALCEC’s “Let’s Change the Story”. Ogilvy client CeraVe also secured the Advertiser of the Year award.

The network’s impressive showing is a reflection of WPP’s growing health offerings through its Health@WPP community, which includes both general and specialist agencies such as AKQA, Burson, CMI Media Group, Design Bridge and Partners, FGS Global, Hogarth, GCI Health, Grey Health & Wellness, GroupM, Landor, Ogilvy Health, Proto, PSB Insights, SJR, TANK, and VML Health.

Rob Reilly, Chief Creative Officer at WPP, said: “We are thrilled our Health@WPP community had such a successful showing at the Clios this year, with our agencies collectively earning the most awards in the competition for the first time ever. These awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our talented teams who continue to push the boundaries of creativity in healthcare.”

Wendy Lund, Chief Client Officer, Health@WPP, said: “At WPP, we believe in the power of creative transformation to impact people’s lives and deliver greater business outcomes. Our commitment to providing our clients with the best possible solutions is rooted in this belief. This win is a testament to our ability to deliver on that promise, and we look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of what’s possible in healthcare marketing.”
