ECOALF’s Commitment to Protecting Our Seas
Every year in June, we are reminded of a fundamental truth: oceans are the heart of our planet. They generate much of the oxygen we breathe, regulate the climate and harbor extraordinary biodiversity. However, they also face one of the greatest threats of our time: plastic waste pollution.
Since its foundation, ECOALF has worked under a clear premise: to no longer use the planet’s natural resources indiscriminately. For this reason, the brand has spent years developing innovative materials from recovered waste, demonstrating that it is possible to create high quality products without compromising the future of future generations.
One of ECOALF’s most emblematic projects is Upcycling the Oceans, an initiative that was launched with the goal of removing waste from the seabed and transforming it into new materials via recycling processes and textile innovation. Thanks to working together with fishing communities, thousands of tons of waste have been recovered from seas and oceans to give them a second life.
This commitment is reflected in each of the ECOALF collections, where recycled materials from plastic bottles, fishing nets, and other waste become garments, accessories and footwear designed to last.
More than a fashion brand, ECOALF seeks to promote a new way of consuming: one in which design, innovation and environmental responsibility can coexist.
On World Oceans Day, ECOALF reaffirms its commitment to the protection of marine ecosystems and invites us to reflect on the impact of our everyday decisions. Every action counts and every choice can contribute to building a more sustainable future.
