Dr. Rosa Andrea Pardo Vargas, a specialist in clinical genetics and full professor at the University of Chile, will join the international jury for the inaugural Tomilli Summit. Her participation will bring a medical and academic perspective to an event recognizing outstanding innovation across industries.

Pardo Vargas earned her medical degree at the National University of Colombia before specializing in pediatrics at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and later in clinical genetics at the University of Chile. At the latter institution, she serves as a full professor and Head of the Genetics Section at its Clinical Hospital.

Her work also encompasses specialist training and the study of congenital anomalies. She directs the University of Chile’s Clinical Genetics Specialization Program and co-directs Chile’s National Registry of Congenital Anomalies (RENACH).

She has also held leadership roles in organizations focused on genetics and rare diseases, including the Genetics Society of Chile (SOCHIGEN), CONACEM’s Clinical Genetics Commission, the Latin American Network of Human Genetics (RELAGH), and Corporación de Espina Bífida Chile.

As a Tomilli Summit juror, she will draw on her clinical and academic experience to assess the submissions. Her perspective will help examine how scientific knowledge translates into practical solutions and how those solutions affect people’s lives.

Assessing Innovation Through Evidence and Impact

The international jury will evaluate submissions against four core criteria: impact and relevance, innovation, scalability, and evidence of results. These criteria will guide its assessment of each proposal’s originality, ability to address specific problems, potential for application in other contexts, and demonstrated outcomes.

Tomilli Summit recognizes initiatives across marketing, advertising, design, fashion, business, health, wellness, and innovation for a better world. A jury spanning multiple disciplines will help ensure that each project is assessed in light of its particular context and the challenges it seeks to address.

Pardo Vargas’s expertise in clinical genetics and medical education will contribute to an evaluation process focused on identifying ideas with meaningful applications and verifiable results.

Companies, startups, organizations, and professionals can submit their projects for consideration through October 7, 2026.
