    Invisible Kitchens are Trending

Kitchens are disappearing – at least when it comes to interior design.

The idea behind this trend is simple; to reduce the visual noise so that the kitchen looks cleaner and reflects a minimalist aesthetic. Luxury is no longer about showing off appliances, but about perfectly integrating technology into the space.

    Invisible Extractors

The age of classic steel extractors over kitchen islands are disappearing. Now brands such as Bora, Miele, and Samsung are launching integrated extractors within the induction cooker. The system is aligned with the countertop and is only activated when cooking, making the island look completely clean and continuous.

    Invisible Kitchens

There are no visible circles, burners or lines. The new surfaces work as a single piece of stone or porcelain where the system automatically detects the pot and activates heat only in that area.

    Paneled Refrigerators

Stainless steel ceased to be the protagonist. The new premium kitchens completely hide the refrigerator behind wooden panels, stone, or finishes identical to the furniture. Brands like Gaggenau, Sub-Zero, and Miele are leading this trend.

    Hidden Coffee Stations

Coffee machines are also disappearing. Now they hide behind pocket doors, sliding panels, or complete minibar-type modules. When closed, they look like another accent wall inside the kitchen.

Finally, the “Invisible Kitchen” trend reflects how luxury design is changing: fewer visible appliances, more integration, and spaces that feel calmer, cleaner, and more sophisticated.
