R/GA, the global creative innovation company for the intelligence age, today announced the appointment of Giacomo Groff as General Manager of its São Paulo, Brazil office. Groff will oversee the agency’s Brazilian market, driving business performance, elevating creative excellence, cultivating a diverse team of talent and integrating operations with the America’s region. Groff will report directly to April Quinn, President of R/GA Americas.
In his new role, he will work closely with clients such as Sephora and Google, while collaborating with the global leadership team to ensure São Paulo continues to operate as a strategic hub within R/GA’s network. His appointment comes at a moment of accelerated growth and creative momentum for R/GA, following its transition to independence through a partnership with private equity firm Truelink Capital in March. Since then, the company has expanded its client portfolio in Brazil, adding new partners such as PicPay, LATAM Airlines, and MICHELIN Connected Fleet.

Returning to R/GA, Groff brings nearly five years of experience with the company, where he served as VP, Executive Strategy Director in the Americas. In these roles, he partnered with clients such as Next Bank, Google, J&J, Nike, and YouTube on campaigns, brand design, and experiences in the São Paulo and North America offices. His career reflects a unique combination of local expertise and global perspective, pairing deep knowledge of the Brazilian market with proven experience guiding strategy teams across the network.

Giacomo Groff brings more than a decade of global strategic leadership across some of the world’s most awarded creative agencies. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President of Strategy at Africa Creative in São Paulo, where he helped cement the agency’s reputation as a creative powerhouse while leading transformative work for Brazil’s most prominent brands. Prior to that, Giacomo was Vice President of Strategy at We Are Social in Toronto, driving international growth across North American and global markets.
