The WINA Festival Held its First Edition of a Category for Students from Mexico and Central America

The winners of the first edition of the Jóvenes Talentos category, a new student category sponsored by the WINA Festival, were announced on June 6, at the Hilton Monterrey, in Mexico. This year, the 2024 edition was open only to students from Mexico and Central America, but the category is expected to expand globally in the future, to motivate the next generation of creative talents.

The judges did not award gold or silver trophies for the cases in this first edition.

The winners were as follows:

  • Nathalia Segura, of Costa Rica, who won a bronce medal for its digital campaign Brief Match: Swipe Right por un Mundo Mejor (Brief Match: Swipe Right for a Better World), that promote the new initiative Creatives and Strategists for a Better World (CSBW).
  • María Mercedes de Paz Ramírez, of Costa Rica, who received an honorable mention for her digital campaign Quiz con Propósito (Quiz with a Purpose in English), to raise awareness about the initiative CSBW.
  • Sandra Espinosa Arellano, of Mexico, who received an honorable mention for her digital case, Somos Guardianes, an environmental case raising awareness about the need to protect the Mexican Axolotl (a critically endangered amphibian).

WINA Festival had the support of Alan Calderon, the General Creative Director of Brandy Creativity & Technology, in organizing and promoting participation in the category.
