PHD Leverages Agency as a Platform Model to Earn #1 Rankings Among Global Media Networks

PHD has achieved the top position in the COMvergence Global Media Agency New Business Barometer H1 2024 report. Helping OMG secure over $5.3 billion in total new business wins (wins minus losses, including retentions) during the first half of the year, the wins highlight PHD’s strategic leverage of OMG’s innovative Agency as a Platform model, which fosters a flexible ecosystem of talent, capabilities, and technology.

PHD’s exceptional performance enabled OMG to capture 35% of the $16.4 billion in business awarded during H1, surpassing the combined shares of the second and third-ranked media groups.

“PHD’s strong showing in H1 is a testament to our Agency as a Platform approach,” said PHD CEO Guy Marks. “In a rapidly evolving marketplace where media is central to digital transformation, our focus on delivering integrated, outcomes-centric solutions has resonated with clients, helping them outthink, outperform, and outgrow the competition.”

PHD led the agency network rankings, notably defending the significant $2.1 billion Volkswagen Group account—the largest pitch awarded in H1—alongside wins from Sainsbury’s, HP, and expanding its partnership with Restaurant Brands International, which includes Burger King, Popeye’s, Tim Hortons, and now Firehouse Subs.
